What is Fusion and what can it do?

Autodesk Fusion is a CAD, CAM & CAE software. It is used by over 70% of STEM Racing teams at the National level and above to design, validate, manufacture, render & create technical drawings for STEM Racing cars. It is the best too to enable you to design and make a winning car. Check out more about Fusion.
Can students join the training?

Unfortunately, our free training offerings are only for educators, not students. However, EduCAD have worked with Autodesk and STEM Racing to develop an extensive video tutorial series for using Fusion for STEM Racing. Alternatively, you can always book training with us directly!

Will I receive a Certificate of Completion?

Absolutely! All of our training is credited as an Autodesk Learning Partner. Once you have attended the full course, you will receive a certificate of completion from Autodesk that you can use for your CPD records.
Do I receive the training’s recording?

Everyone who attends the course will be sent the full recording of the course to revisit and remember the teachings. In addition, you will be able to reach out to one of our instructors after your course if you get stuck.

Fusion CAD Fundamentals is a 12-hour live online course, delivered over several sessions. In this course, we teach you the basic design tools in Fusion and how to use them to design your own STEM Racing car .Your instructor will cover:
Sketching
Extrusion
Modification
Assemblies
Drawings
By the end of this course, you will be able to support your students to use Fusion to design, render and create drawings of their car, as well as gaining tips from Fusion and STEM Racing experts that will give your team an advantage.

Fusion Fundamentals
Design for STEM Racing
Fusion CAM Fundamentals for STEM Racing is a 6-hour live online course, delivered over 1 or 2 sessions. In this course, we teach the basics of generating code to cut a STEM Racing car on a Denford CNC machine with Fusion. We cover:
CAM Setup
2.5 Axis toolpathing
3 Axis toolpathing
Machine simulation & collision avoidance
Post-processing
By the end of this course, you will be able to support your students to program a CNC cut, without risk of breaking your machine, in an efficient way and with an industry leading software. You will also gain tips from a Fusion and STEM Racing expert that will help differentiate your team from the others!
